Technical information about this website’s accessibility
sportscotland is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Link to PDF document
The website mirrors a set of standards which are published on a third-party website in PDF format. The site references this PDF document but the document may not be fully accessible. Links to this document don’t currently denote that a PDF document will open
The site has two interface components that do not provide sufficient text/background contrast:
- Drop down menu default text
- Dashboard text on bar graphs (white on yellow)
Use of colour
The dashboard gives a visual representation of progress using coloured bar graphs.
For a small number of colour blind users it may be difficult to associate the bar graphs with the key. Users on desktops or laptops will be able to hover over the bar and see a text description but this isn’t possible on mobile devices.
Images – duplicate information
A couple of logos on the site include duplicate information in alt text and image title.
Navigating the site with a keyboard
One for the form elements is difficult to navigate out of using a keyboard.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We are continually looking to make improvements to the usability and accessibility of our websites. Accessibility is a priority for any future developments to the site and we will work to address any specific accessibility issues reported by users of the site using the contact details above.
